Cherokee Dance #2 !

So one week after, are you ready for some good ol’ kickintheass Friday music ?
Are you ready to hear one of the best song ever recorded ?
Are you ready ? Are you ? ARE YOU ? (Gee, why am I shouting like that)
By the way, our good Brian from It’s Great Shakes wrote a niiiiiiiiiice review of the song back in July (oh crap, almost 1 year), so here’s the original review.
Where ?
Oh so here’s some rock’n’roll mystery :
1. Bob Landers or Bob Lenarde (Cd vs 45) ?
2. Willy Joe Or Willie Joe (Cd vs 45) ?

Anyway, enjoy, and have a gooooood weekend my friends.

Sure it's a good song... And what a voice ! God bless tobacco !

Talkin' about great songs... Thanks for "The Heel" of June Carter ! I really adore this one...
Since I DL "The hell" (oups, the heel") from your site, I've listened it many many many times, it's a drug...

I know I'd better write this in the comments after the subject on June... but it's a rock'n'roll blog, who cares 'bout the rules ???
Mmmm... I just forget it's a "Rock'n'roll SACRED music" blog... sorry Rev, I'll be more careful next time !

Wow, Rev. Your record vault must be bigger than the bank in Rififi. Keep an eye on your upstairs neighbors.

Great tune! Reminds me of some Tom Waits tunes. Must've influenced him.

The video clip of Hound Dog is scorching! Thick with attitude.

Two of our favorite tunes over at It's Great Shakes headquarters. Thanks for the link to Brian's write up.

Forgive me Rev - for being an ignorant f**k, but who is this singing "Hound Dog"??? Ella? Scorching is right. Just about the best rendition of it I ever heard (and I've heard a few).

Hey Rev,
could you repost Twitchy by Rene Hall's Orchestra And Willy Joe? I'd loved to hear it because the Cherokee Dance is a favorite of mine since I stumbled over at the Hound.
By the way, your blog is fantastic, man!!!!! Keep on keepin on!
