The folks who-follow-the-shoe say that Ole Sonny Boy is apparently a pseudonym for Papa Lightfoot, and the folks who-follow-the-gourd say that Ole Sonny Boy is in fact J.D. Horton.

Anyone ?
(Cos I’m very sceptical about both)

How about James Carr, The Dark End Of The Street?

The Prince Buster version of the song has become somewhat of a favorite and I'm not sure whether I heard the James Carr version, so...

I may be mistaken, but I thought that when I looked through your archives once, I saw that you had posted the original version of "Goo Goo Muck," the song the Cramps cover. I can't find it now, but if you have it, it would be much appreciated.
