The Joy Boys !

In South Australia they were born (heave away, haul away).
The band started playing under the name K.J. QUINTET. Jacobsen brothers (Kevin & Colin) changed the name of the band for Colin Joye And The Joy Boys in 1957.
They recorded under Col Joye’s Joy Boys in 1960 and 1961 and as The Joy Boys from 1961.
Enjoy !

Have you ever seen the movie "The Loved One"? In the film, Rod Steiger played a freakish character named "Joy Boy". There's a great scene where he describes a dream he had and he sings a little song that goes "Mama's little Joy Boy want lobster lobster Mama's little Joy Boy want lobster for Mom". Gee, now that I think of it I might as well use that little tune as part of a Mothers Day motif on my blog. Anyway, here's some slightly interesting useless information that somehow relates to your post in a round about way. Your blog has been a consistent part of my online activities since February 2005. Thanks for making the effort Mr. Reverend Sir.
